Therapy days begin with gentle Yoga, Tai-chi or standing Qigong.
The origins of Yoga may date back to pre-vedic Indian traditions. The earliest accounts of yoga-practices are to be found in the Buddhist Nikayas. The discipline of yoga will help you: control your body and mind, analysis of your perception and cognition, expanding your consciousness.
Standing qigong is an ancient Taoist practice which gently and progressively realigns your body to a neutral and opened stance, and with practise gently realigns your feet with your knees, hips, shoulders, back, and neck, to open your body and improve your circulation and balance.
It is not meditative in that the focus of the mind is within your body, thus allowing you over time to reconnect with yourself at a deeper physical level, enhancing the energy felt within your body and relaxing your mind at the same time.
